Electrical major issues... alarm goes off, widows go up and down tailgate goes up by its self,doors unlock. Trans goes into N. All by its self. Seems to happen more when IPhone 11 is in car. 2019 Adv./ 22,000 mi. Only happens intermittently......dealer has no clue. HELP

Does this happen why you try to start it or when you and the key is completely away from the vehicle?
Is it the orginal car battery? I would get the battery checked out. It might need to be replaced.

Different vehicle. My Dodge Ram when bonkers (wipers blade activated, lights blinked, dash lights flashing on and off.
Turned out to be a weak battery.

I would look to make sure the roof rails didn't leak and cause corrosion of the wiring harnesses. Especially the front where water could actually trickle down into the dash area.

I work at a Toyota dealership in the parts department, we see stuff like this occasionally and it is almost always damage from rodents chewing on wires

Had toyota Master diagnostic Mechanic and corporate engineers ck vehicle found nothing wrong.had head liner replaced 2020. Completely dry no corrosion.hole system looks good.ck'din yesterday.wouldn't surprise they didn't ck battery to obvios.......thanks

Thanks. my problem seems to be caused by an iPhone or an I watch.these devices r my grandsons. My 2019 rav4 adven..is still at the dealer.i used my wifes 2021 rav4 yesterday afternoon with my GSon aboard. Now I have 2 Rav4's Posssesed. Wifes car just had oil and multi-point inspection done yesterday morning.

Barring a bad battery, I would un-pair all of the connected devices (yours, the wife's, the grand kids- hey you never know ), see what happens then. Also if using the Toyota connect apps, uninstall those and and perform an clean install. I was going to say possible bad telematics module but both vehicles at the same time, highly unlikely. Let us know what you find.

Sounds similar to others who had roof rail leak and electronics and airbags were destroyed...Hopefully not the case as it has potential to total the car.

Unfortunately with the Adventure trim it's significantly harder to repair yourself as it requires removing the headliner in order to access the bolts that hold the rails to the roof.

Has Toyota fixed the leaky roof rails in newer models?

My 2019 rav4 with 24,000 miles was totaled by the insurance company today because of water leaking in under the front of the roof racks. In responce about my 2021 Rav4 and 2019 Rav4 Adv. 99% sure the problems in both vehicles was caused by an Apple I watch, when passenger was seated in front while wearing watch. Problems occurred immediately and disapated slowly after exist. Toyota Master diagnostic tech. found no issues no codes no sign of water intrusion.... No Iwatch no problems..... Toyota and apple said no way could those issues be caused by watch.....Toyota could not replicate problems cause they didn't have the watch.all they saw were residual effects (1 window went up and down twice). Tech insinuated that my grandson did it. We almost found out if a 75 yr. old Marine had anything left in the tank. Semper Fi

Wow sorry to hear. Sounds like when I left the sunroof open and it rained for a few hours. All my electric things did what your saying. But it was a bmw. I had to get the computer replaced for over a grand. Maybe turn off the Bluetooth on your phone?
