Ah I didn't know that. You would think there would be a software/firmware update since I believe it's the same unit in the 2020/21

If I recall correctly, it IS a 2019 firmware update in some regions, like Australia and Europe. But so far as I know, it's NOT an update in North America. At one point, I thought there would be one for the US market, but now it's been too long. I no longer think it will happen, SOL.

A dealership near me said they could do the update for $40 adding Android Auto to my 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium. I reiterated a few times to make sure he understood what year/model I had and that I was looking for Android Auto, not Apple Carplay. He said he could do it.

I'm sure he believes that he can. But isn't it strange that nobody in the US has reported getting this upgrade?
