Thanks for this. I got it done today, lights look great. It’s frightful how hard you have to pull to get the thing to come off. Glad my wife wasn’t around. o_O

Your welcome, I know I thought it was going to destroy it from the force of pulling but the good news is the second time around if you need to get back into it it’s alot easier and I would make sure the wife isn’t around for the second time if there is one lol

I took my 2019 Limited Hybrid in to the Toyota dealer yesterday to have the two map lights, the dome light and the cargo hatch light replaced with LEDs. In the shop they all worked and as soon as I got in the car to drive away, the map lights would not work. The other two remain working. I will return to the dealer on Tuesday in hopes of getting it fixed. Any thoughts? Thanks.

What did they charge to replace the lights? I got the map lights, vanity lights, and cargo light replaced today. I removed the dome light only to learn I didn’t have the proper replacement bulb for it.

I literally (10 minutes ago) just tried to replace the dome light, which I saw somewhere is 31mm LED but it didn’t fit, the actual size is 30.5mm but there’s no such thing so you would think 31mm is the right size but they were a tad bit too big and I just threw them in an amazon return locker (the beauty of amazon) but I now have to research the ones that fit.

I saw reviews on Amazon that said they had to do some bending to get the lights to fit.

Lookup Model# DE3175 .. That’s the actual bulb for the dome light. If you go on amazon, make sure you put your make and model in the garage and it’ll find bulbs that fit. Although not all DE3175 models seem to fit, amazon knows the exact size by car model. Let me know if you need help finding it. The one I bought on amazon is called: Alla Lighting 800 Lumens Super White, it’s a red and yellow looking bulb (the actual color is Bright white 6000k)

Notice the bottom of the pictures shows the year, make and model and the size of the bulb

Regarding the dome light, I purchased a 31mm bulb from Canadian Tire, Sylvania ZEVO (DE3175). It's slightly larger than the stock bulb, but mainly because of the way the ends are rounded off on the new bulb. The ends on the stock bulb stick out more, so it holds better in its socket. A quick visual comparison of a stock bulb to the amazon image above shows what I'm talking about. I did get the 31 mm to fit, but it's best to take out the full assembly, and push out the metal tab a little bit using pliers or your fingers. It took some finagling to make sure it won't slip out of the socket.
I've replaced all the bulbs in interior with LED and like the look much better.

On to the fog lamps next. Anyone have recommendations on white or yellow lamps?
