Have had my 2020 XLE Hybrid for about 2 months. On 2 different occasions the car would not start due to the battery being drained. Dealer kept the car for 4 days each time and could not find the issue. Car was definitely turned off, all lights off, and keyfob was not left in the car. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi. I do not have a RV4 but 12 volt batteries can show OK as in volts and have one or two bad cells. This happened to me on a different car. Dealer checked the battery OK. After the second incident I insisted on a new battery. That was the issue. This is just one of possible issues. Best of luck. Thanks.

No issues on my 2019 XSE or 2010 Prius. Is sounds like you have a bad battery or something aftermarket was not installed correctly. As others have said, if it happens again I would insist on a new battery. By the way, a lithium jump pack will get the car into ready mode easily.

No aftermarket stuff in my 2020 XSE. 1700 miles on ours with no issues then this. I hooked a jump box up to the terminals under the hood at it read 6 volts coming from the starting battery. That’s a significant drain. Something must be drawing on that battery after shutdown.

This is not a minor issue. Yeah, you can buy a jump pack but it’s absurd to need one.

Doubtful this is a battery problem. Fires up easily with a jump box and after driving just 10 miles it had no trouble starting on it’s own.

If it happens again, I’m going to check the voltage at the battery itself before jumping it. Might tell us if it’s something in between.

2020 RAV4 hybrid XSE, less than 800 miles, experiencing “dead battery” - battery drain. No aftermarket parts all factory installed options. Nothing left on. Toyota roadside assistance did a jump start. Started right up. Hmmmm...?

Since my 2020 Rav4 XLE Hybrid would not start on two separate occasions due to the battery being drained, I brought it back to the dealer. They opened up a TAS case 200270499 They had it for a week and had a specialist come out. They could not replicate the issue. They tested the battery and a parasitic draw test. Nothing was found. If anyone brings their car into the dealer with the same issue, you may want to reference the TAS case 200270499 or have them open a new one. I also have a Customer Care case as well.

Dead Aux battery as well. Twice over past 2 months. 2020 Limited/Hybrid. 2 different dealerships could not find/replicate problem. Thinking about just replacing with a better battery and see what that does for me.
I have an escalated case with Toyota now as well. Someone from HQ is supposed to call me tomorrow. The women opening the case did a search for other reported similar battery issues, and said she couldn't see any. Sounds like BS, or their system in not returning good search results.

What relay are you referring to? I'm sure there are many in the car.
