From my understanding, the 2023 Prius will get about the same MPG as the previous generation about 57 (same as current Ecco), with alot more HP.
Past Prius generations got about 15 percent better MPG than the previous versions. I suppose nobody wants 60+ MPG and would rather have more HP?
I do see what Toyota is doing with the hybrid systems now with their 2.4 turbo max version that will be in the Crown. I suppose this version may be in a future version/option of the Tacoma, and hopefully 4Runner. That will be interesting if it happens. A mid-size body on frame truck that gets high 20s MPG would be something I would consider.
