i would recomend a hitch. Etrailer.com has a few. I inslalled one from them and it took me 20Min. it has been used twice for tailgaters also. saving me thousands for a new rear hatch.
any strap version will wear on your paint and add weight to the allready under built hindges for the hatch.

I am a fan of Specialized. I have (3) ebikes and (2) non. Wife has one of each. My son bought me a inexpensive 2" reciever rack from amazon and it handles two fairly heavy e-bikes well. it is rated for 150 i believe, but it holds my 225 just fine on the furtest edge.
One thing i found needed was a 4" hitch adapter to raise the 2" reciever to a better height. This way it clears driveways, speed bumps and curbs. Also, when rack is off i slide a tripple ball in for tail-gaters. It has saved my rear hatch a couple times now and hopefully taught a lesson or two.
Fav. bikes are (Road) Turbo Creo, (MTB) Turbo Levo.
reciever E-bay or Amazon +/- $30. Rack was about $350.
