No. But unless you run something super aggressive with major offroad side lugs etc. I cannot see how it would be a problem. Lots of room around. Once I need new summer tyres, I switch to 255/50R20.

I don't see why not. Look at what you have now. They are obviously worn, but still. You need 15 mm radially and 7 mm or so laterally in terms of clearance. If you compare new for new, you need 7 mm laterally and 11 mm radially, i.e sides and radius.

Just curious, why the larger size? Visual impact?

 

I'm running 235/55 R19 with everything stock and there looks to be enough room to go wider by 20 mm.

 

Look is not assurance there will be no rubbing. You have to consider suspension travel, not just the static appearance.

 

Let’s use something more factual then. The 235/55R19 can run snowchains on all four corners. There are also people running off-road tyres in 235/70R17.
If the snowchains clear on the inside and outside, the diameter itself is a non-issue. I ran 10mm chains in Norway last year.
