290,000 miles as in 464,000 km? That's pretty impressive. I only have 82,000 km (51,000 miles) on mine but it's always good to see confirmation that they're built to last.

I just got a 1998 RAV4 from my mother and it only has 33,000 miles. She replaced the '98 with an '08 RAV4.

Our 1999 4wd manual trans 4 door 'the peanut' has about 105,000 miles on it, and is running real well in every respect.

Even the clutch chatter seems to have gotten better.

That is fantastic, thanks for sharing. That's the kind of post that convinced me that it was okay to get a RAV with almost 150,000 miles- and I am very glad that I did.
