This is a reprint of the engine specs and facts when it was introduced in 2009. I don't think much, if anything, has changed since then. It shows and explains everything about the 2AR-FE engine.

Another reason Toyota finally switched to full synthetic engine oil.

"About the push button start. My first PBS was a 1951 Chevy Panel Wagon.
Back then we left the keys in the car."

PB start on the steering column/dashboard, not the floor board, next to the clutch. Wiseguy. I forgot that. WOW, you must REALLY be old!!

PUSH BUTTON

Well not that old only 63. When I first started driving the only cars I could afford were the old ones. Late 40s and early 50's. The 51 Chevy had a push button on the dash , on the right same as the Rav4. Most of the trucks were on the floor(right foot). All 6 volt. I had a 54 Buick Super with a starter switch in the gas pedal and it was a three speed on the column.

No, push button start is old. Young people think it is new. I agree with the other post that said it is just one more thing to go wrong later.
It is fine for some but just not for me.
I think I like the Rav4 better than all the old ones I owned.:)
