Me too. I Thought I would be replacing a timing belt at 90,000 miles.
Do these chains need to be replaced at some point or the tensioners?

I extracted only the engine info, as that's the only thing that is relevant to the 4.4
The document goes into great detail on EVERYTHING about the 2009 RAV. It's a 168 page 11 MB pdf.
If you want the rest, I can always email it to you.

 

I was looking for cooling system diagram for 2AR-FE. The document shows it. But there are many different components, like fittings, tubes, specifically around the transmission heater. It would be probably nice to have more expanded diagram.
My rav is 4.3 and motor 2AR.

Doe anyone know if the 2AR-FE (2.5L engine) in 2013 Rav4 is the same engine that other owners is having problems with the engine consuming too much oil thus the engine is failing after 70K plus miles?

Since 2009 the 2AR-FE has been updated with changes to eliminate the oil burning issue. Not to worry.

Another reason Toyota finally switched to full synthetic engine oil.

 

I still don't like 0W-20, but I'll use it. I had a tough enough time going from 10W-30 to 5W-30 back in the day.

Well not that old only 63. When I first started driving the only cars I could afford were the old ones. Late 40s and early 50's. The 51 Chevy had a push button on the dash , on the right same as the Rav4. Most of the trucks were on the floor(right foot). All 6 volt. I had a 54 Buick Super with a starter switch in the gas pedal and it was a three speed on the column.

No, push button start is old. Young people think it is new. I agree with the other post that said it is just one more thing to go wrong later.
It is fine for some but just not for me.
I think I like the Rav4 better than all the old ones I owned.
