I am a bit surprised we don't have them yet at Home Depot or similar stores. It seems like I am always looking for a part that just can't be found or doesn't exist and in many cases would be willing to pay well for it to be 3D printed. The inventory side of that business case is really simple - just stock the raw material.

They can't yet beat the prices of the 3D printing mills. Besides, I'm not sure HD and Lowes want to add that headache to their services. Maintaining 3D printers takes a lot of attention and space
You can be sure that HD will just pass the buck on to some remote support service in India or something... HD doesn't support anything LOL.

But I bet these things are carried by B&M stores within the next 5-10 years... Many of the newer models are pretty easy to use. But there will always be printing mills because while anyone can push a button, the CAD design work is still a skillset.
It is truly amazing the materials and techniques that are being developed with 3D printing technologies these days. Plastics, metals, composites, hard to soft transitions, etc.
After seeing some of the high-tech processes it is surprising that the plastics have not migrated into the mainstream use for DIY customers more.

I ended up getting some of these printed locally off Facebook Marketplace ad. $15 for 4 seat stay covers and the cubby tray.

They came out pretty good. My only concern is perhaps that the printer didn't use the right thickness of materials. I had to spray a few coats of plastidip into the hole where they pressure fit on top of the bolts to get them to sit properly.

@olesolo - are there any specs we should share with a printer to make sure its printed with the right type of filament?

With that said I'm happy to have them now as I just wire wheeled off all the rust on the seat stays, rust converted and painted. So I'm hoping these help protect the work I just put in.

Hi!
Last year Ive printed the Armrest organizer with PLA. It does not survive the hot Summer in the Car. :(
(PLA begin to soften at 60°C)
This time I tried PETG with 80% Infill. It feels more stable and PETG softens at higher Temprature.
We will see.

I also printed the Mounting cover for the seats. After a little paintjob with black textured paint they look like almost original. :)
Pictures follow...

Olesolo, are you selling these?

I'd be interested in the Mounting Cover Seats and Armrest Cover Hinge.

Sorry I don't sell them :( I am pretty shure that you could print them out in some Makerspace/Hackerspace/Fablab nearby.

My armchair insert was broken during the summer too. In a hot time the sides was deformated and cant hold.

But the mounting covers are still working fine.
Is there any chance that this could be a solution to ever-broken vents on the center dash? I'm thinking that even if the 3d print was simply the correct size of the vent with immovable slats, that would be an improvement. Any thoughts from those smarter than I on 3d printing?
