I have a 2012 rav4 sport. The trunk is standard without fold-down 3rd row seats. If I find a junker with a 3rd row, can I swap my trunk (insert?) with the 3rd row fold down seats? I need more seats and that mini middle seat in the back is not comfortable. Thanks in advance.

This has been asked in the past and the short answer is no because it is not feasible. I believe there is more to it than just adding the 3rd row seats so when people find out they ditch the plan. In addition you need to change the springs to the 3rd row one to support the extra weight at the back.

There is actually a step by step on here to do so with factory parts. But DL175 is right - it’s a BIG job.
