Hi list,
I am new here and am considering a rav4 for a daily driver. I can afford a first generation rav4 and am also considering an engine upgrade to the 3s-ge turbo. So here are the stupid questions. (and yes, I did search and found nothing in the archives) 1. For you guys who have done the swap, what kind of observed MPG are you getting? Do you care about fuel consumption? 2. what octane fuel needs to be run in the turbo 3s-ge? 3. Is there anybody in the Seattle area who has done this swap?

Thanks for you replys,

Dave

Actually, the answer has been covered. The 3sGTE will consume more fuel than a 3sFE. Not sure on exacts, just know that it will consume more. Also, it has been reccomended to run the highest possible octane. So in the US that would be a 92 on average.

I don't have exact MPG figures, pm andrew and he should be able to give you a figure. Most of the people I have seen with the swap are aussies. I have heard of a few in the states, but don't know any right offhand.
