Our 4wd system will automatically engage when the computer detects wheel slipping correct?

Will the 4wd light come on when this happen? Or it doesnt tell you at all?

My Rav4 is too new for me to test this out in the dirt road =)

The 4wd light on the dash is a system warning light. It only comes on when there is a problem or when it is doing a self test.

When computer engages left/right stability program, VSC light comes on. It goes off as soon as traction is regained, so it may seem blinking on many surfaces.

The 4x4 light comes on when you press the big button and it lets you know that the lock is still on (because you may forget, and because it disengages automatically above 40km/h). Computer will never activate it by itself.

The automatic front/rear distribution has no light at all, or else there would be light on every start off a stop-light.

Swerving on dirt roads will trigger your VSC light and the buzzer, for those of us who still have a buzzer. :D
Oh, that's interesting. I only got the light so far. I must try harder!
