Howdy folks - got a question for you mechanics. Today was the first day in months Denver has received snow. The morning commute was awful. A couple times (and I did this on purpose to test it) the ABS came on and it sounded like rock scraping against itself and the brake pedal vibrated enough to tickle my foot. I think that this is normal, but wanted to share my experience here to see if anyone had any comments. And for those of you who are mechanically inclined, perhaps you could comment on the mechanics of the ABS and why it sounds/feels so rough.

thats how abs works... it is pulsating your brakes, so your tires wont lock and you still have control.

there is no nice way about it.
