Can anyone help me,

I previously had a 2003 rav4 which I changed the radio on. Doing that was simple since the pannels on the side of the radio were removed with the 4 silver hex bolts.

I have just purchased a new 2005 rav4 and the pannels are different. To be more specific they are no longer round and no longer have the 4 silver hex screws holding them inplace.

Has anyone removed these panels and if so how do they come off. I fugure they must clip off but I dont want to force them without someone telling me if there are any pitfalls I should lookout for!

Thanks

The radio side trim plates can be removed using a rounded edge table knife or a putty knife.
Carefully insert the blade between the trim piece about 1/3 of the way from the top, and 1/3 of the way from the bottom, and pry the piece outward, alternating positions.

billc,

Thanks for that - so they simply pull off? No hidden catches that are going break while removing the plates hey?
