Hi

I have an question...... I have an 2006 Toyota Rav4 V6 4wd (is an Towing package). I'm going with Autozone to get an alternator. I see in the description on the site that the 100 amp is for the Rav4 without towing package. And the 130 for the towing package.
What if I get and install the 100 amp alternator instead of the 130 amp? Will I get battery charging problems? Or any other problems? Thanks...

I just looked it up. The correct one for tow prep pkg. is actually less $$$ than the other. That was for front 2 wheel drive. I don't know if there would be any negatives with the smaller amp capacity.

You probably will not get any charging problem if you are not using a lot of electricity. What might happen is the alternator may not fit. A member who had a 100 amp alternator found the 130 amp did not fit.
