When using the radio or CD player I everything is fine.

But, when I switch to the AUX port, I hear a whine coming from the speakers. It seems to be getting higher pitched when I rev the engine, but it is always there. Once I switch to another input source, it goes away.

I think this is called 'alternator whine'. But how do I fix it?

It seems like most people that have this problem have installed an aftermarket radio, but I have not. All factory.

Anyone have the same issue?

You must have a 2006-2008 RAV4. Toyota issued a TSB to fix this problem. I had it taken care of under warranty. You will find other solutions in this thread:
