How do you do this? I tried and can't into developer's mode for this app. I already unlocked the mode for the whole phone.
I have a Samsung S22 Ultra.

 

Click the version number of the android auto app multiple times until the developer settings appear.

 

Doesn't work when I do this in my home. Does it have to be connected and working in the car?

 

Thanks for the detailed explanations. I succeeded now. But still, I have an app I use that doesn't appear in the AA menu, the Tom Tom Navigation app. What would be the reason?

 

Is it Tom Tom amigo or Tom Tom Go Navigation? I will try it myself and let you know. Is this a good app to replace Maps or Waze?

 

It's called Tom Tom Navigation and it's indeed great. It's as good as Waze and Maps. I use all 3.

The tom tom App you're using is it named "Tom Tom" which is the patched version of the original or you're using the original named "Tom Tom Go" from playstore?

 

Patched, so must be the problem.

 

The developer of the patched version can rename the app. Try looking for a patch Tom Tom Go with exactly the same name as the original.

 

This tom tom is a nice app. I will also look for a better patched app and will try myself in AA. I will let you know if it worked and will share you the details.

 

Since I enabled Developer's mode for Android Auto, I get this really annoying message/notificaqtion on the bottom right when Waze, or Maps or Amigo are in use. You have this too? Any fix?

 

I don't get that message. Try updating the android auto from playstore. If it's updated, I will uninstall all updates to android auto and then update all over again from playstore. Then re-enable developer mode and enable only wireless AA and unknown sources, no other setting should be enabled.

 

Tried another app, Sygic, which looks to be great and can have offline maps, and it's not appearing in Android Auto, again. It's patched, but has the same app name as the "real" one... Too bad...
