Greetings....
I have recently inherited a 1998 RAV4,4 door AWD A/T with approx. 44,200 miles on it.This was Mama's car .She recently passed and it is now time for it to go off to a new home.I would love to keep it,but it just does not make sense, what with the cost of insurance, registration, etc.I already have a 2006 RAV,as well as my 2004 Tacoma. This is the typical "driven by a little old lady" car, driven very rarely, especially in the last few years.Driven to the grocery store, dogs to the park, that sort of thing.Overall in great condition, couple small dings in the rear quarter panels(she was in her 90's!!) Interior in amazing shape.Needs a couple of air condition/heater vents replaced.I have gotten it smogged and registered,so I can drive it around town.Car is from Albuquerque NM, so no rust issues, and has lived in the garage its whole life.Just putting out feelers to see what sort of price you experts would suggest I list it for,as well as any suggestions on places/sites to list it on...I can provide pictures/details if anyone is interested.....Thanks in advance

2 door or 4? Automatic transmission or manual?

To figure out if it’s 2WD or AWD, look under the back end for a rear differential. If it’s there, it’s AWD.

If this 1998 A/T, AWD Rav4 with 44k miles on it is in "very good" condition, KBB.com puts the value for a private party sale in Albuquerque at about $3200 to $4900. Fine-tune this yourself by going to kbb.com and asking to price the value of your Rav.

However asking prices on cars.com suggest asking more than what kbb says. Eight first generation, U. S. based, Rav4s are for sale on cars.com right now. Here's the breakdown, starting with the lowest mileage:

29k miles, $14.9k , 1998.

122k miles, $10k, 1997

138k miles, $4.9k, 1996 AWD

152k miles, $6k, 2000 AWD

164k miles, 1.5k, 1996

177k miles, $6.5k, 1998

226k miles, $3.3k, 1999 AWD

237K miles, $4k, 1998

Never trust the written description to be accurate about the tranny. Look at the pictures of the interior to see if there is an M/T stick or an A/T shifter.
