FWIW, the newest iOS update (18.4.1) is supposed to fix several CarPlay issues. Should be worth doing the update.

I'm running 18.4.1 and the disconnects are worse then before the update.

They aren't worse, but I'm still having issues

I fixed the problem. For some reason the setting to use my phone with CarPlay got turned off. I turned it back on and have had no issues with CArPlay. Not sure how as the setting got turned off is a layer or so deep in the settings on the Rav4. I am running the lates iOS In my years in IT I have run into apps and software update turning off other settings. But my CarPlay turned off while on a road trip.

I spoked too soon (typed anyway). CarPlay just died while driving listening to iTunes from my iPhone. I then went into Settings/wifi bluetooth, selected my iPhone and turned on "use with CarPlay". I've no idea why it turned off "use with CarPlay".

BTW: I'm using wireless CarPlay.
