I went to have a look at the wife's winter tires to verify another post and noticed these cracks along the tread.

All of the tires have the cracks on the outside tread (2x per tire).

My immediate reaction is to replace. There is tread at least for a few seasons.

Any expert opinions?

Wow, are they very old? what is the date code on those tires? Its the last 4 digits of the DOT code. First two of those are the month and the second two the year. For example DOTxxxxxx1013 would be October of 2013.

These are Yokahamas and the DOT code is "weird" FBF5 on both sides. I haven't been able to decode that DOT code. Perhaps it is 2005?

I don't recall when I bought them but they may have been old inventory from the dealer.

I am pretty sure I am going to replace them.

I wouldn't drive any farther on those tires than to the nearest good tire replacement shop! :surprise

Thanks for the input, everybody. The tires are not on any vehicle and I'm going to replace them (I want the rims).

Actually the picture is misleading: despite the cracks they have a lot of tread left.

Regardless, they are done.
