OK so it took 7 hours to drop the blower housing assembly to get to the outlet air servo assembly. What I found is the snap in secondary gear is missing one of the three internal tabs. This allows it to get out of line with the servo gear. More importantly the FH damper for the defrost was jammed and the shaft was broken off inside the housing. It was barley hanging on the housing and while trying to see if the damper was jammed it fell inside. Does anyone have photos of the heater box and the internal dampers out of the car? Anyone heard of cutting an access panel in the duct or the box to get access to the damper? I have heard of folks doing this with a rotary tool on other makes of autos with similar problems.
