It's in the manual :Automatic light control system (P. 201, 205) The default setting of 0 works for me.

Thanks Quickdtoo. Just read my manual. Don't see any sensitivity control. Mine's type A. Would be nice to set it to more sensitive in Vancouver's mostly grey wintery daylight.

I keep mine at the lowest setting, but they still come on if I'm sitting under an overpass even in mid-day sun. Sitting in a garage or carport, they still come on.

Page 204:

Headlight control sensor (if equipped)

The sensor may not function properly if an

object is placed on the sensor, or anything

that blocks the sensor is affixed to the

windshield.

Doing so interferes with the sensor

detecting the level of ambient light and

may cause the automatic headlight system

to malfunction.

Automatic light off system

When the headlights are on: The lights turn off 30 seconds after the power

switch is turned off and a door is opened and all of the doors are closed. (The

lights turn off immediately if on the key is pressed while all the doors

are locked.)

When only the tail lights are on: The lights turn off after the power switch is

turned off and the driver’s door is opened.

To turn the lights on again, turn the power switch to ON mode, or turn the light

switch off, then turn it to or to .

If any of the doors is kept open and the power switch off, the lights automatically

turn off after 20 minutes.

Light reminder buzzer

A buzzer sounds when the power switch is turned off and the driver’s door is

opened while the lights are turned on.

Customization

Settings (e.g. light sensor sensitivity) can be changed.

(Customizable features: P. 625)

Ideal setting depends on what you like. For me, I like the highest sensitivity, as they may also come on in the rain or certain overcast conditions, but not always.

Hi there, I am totally new to this forum. I have been 'playing' with the sensitivity sensors as well but I don't notice a lot of difference. Also, the manual is not explicit about what is the highest and what is the lowest sensitivity. I have now set it on +2, assuming this is the highest sensitivity but I am not sure about it. I don't notice a lot of difference. Any experiences from other drivers?
