How is this different from the four-wheel drive lock switch in the 4WD models ?

On some manual I found the following:
2WD
Push the “AUTO LSD” switch when the vehicle is
stopped. To deactivate, push the switch again.
NOTE: It will ONLY work for 2-wheel drive models.
It should ONLY be used when wheel spinning
occurs on slippery or unpaved surfaces.

4WD
Push the switch to ensure that the engine torque is
applied to the 4 wheels.
NOTE: It should ONLY be used when wheel spinning
occurs on loose or unpaved surfaces.

ya know Junky I wondered this too. WHY would you even need a limited slip if the truck already has traction control and vsc. With a combo of both these it picks the tire with the best traction anyway..

I can see what the 4wd lock does. It does not allow the front slippage first before the rears come in.
