Looking for first had experience converting an auto 4wd to manual 4wd. Planning to do the 3sgte swap but almost all I can find are auto chassis's. I'm mechanically inclined and have done the swap on many hondas, acuras and nissan. \

Bought RAV4 1996 auto transmission and want to convert it to manual because it is practically impossible to find alive manual 5doors here (lots of 3dr though).
Currently trying to prepare list of required components and estimate price for materials. Hopefully will trade in my auto parts so it won't be so expensive. Going to D.Y.I.
So, are there any ideas what I need for successful change?
My list so far is (excluding gaskets, bolts, oil):
- Pilot bearing
- Engine plate?
- Flywheel
- Clutch assembly (Clutch disk, Pressure plate, Throw-out bearing)
- Bell housing (if it's not part of transmission)
- Manual transmission
- Gear shift with levers
- 3 Pedals assembly
- Clutch master cylinder
- Clutch lines
- Clutch slave cylinder
- Probably ECU replace (to check)
My questions so far pretty simple.
Does auto/manual use same SXA11 chassis and 3S-FE engine (should be same, but may be there some pitfalls with mountings or supports)?
Anything else?

Unless you want to DESTROY your engine, and GEARBOX. Take that PILOT BEARING off that list.

New Clutch and pressure plate (Throw pilot bearing away as soon as you open box!)
I DESTROYED a JDM 3S-FE by putting the pilot bearing in there. It comes in the Kit because SOME Vehicles call for it. But keep in mind this clutch kit works for like 50 different vehciles and only about 10 use that pilot bearing.
NO 3S-FE Engine or 5S-FE Engine has a pilot bearing put into the crankshaft.
Because Marijuana, I put a pilot bearing in the crankshaft, mated the gearbox, and the engine ran for 45 seconds, then it was SIEZED, DEAD. Here are the pieces of it AFTER the fact.

The pilot bearing pushed the crankshaft up against the thrust bearings, and friction welded the engine. Here is whats left of what I pulled out of the crankshaft. You Live, You Learn.

Closest car wreckers billed me $850 NZD for all parts except clutch which I will take new. With new clutch it will take approx. $1100 NZD While I search for additional options and collect money (which will take a while due to low priority) I want to clarify another question.
Will I still have 4wd on my car after replacement? I think that there should be actuator(s) controlled by automatic transmission that lock diff. when needed. Should I replace this actuator(s) as well from diff? Or its not that easy (and I need to replace diffs?)? Or it's just enough to take some button-relay-fuse from manual and connect to existing actuator(s)? And is it one or two of them?

Do you have any further input on the 3sgte swap, especially 5spd tranny options/requirements when swapping from aito... i kind of stubbled onto the wrong forum fyi. I plan on swaping a 5spd awd 3sgte (st185) into a toyota camry awd automatic. Im probably buying a jdm motor that comes with the 5MT. But, its ridiculously overpriced. I can get an engine much cheaper but struggling to find a suitable 5spd awd tranny option.
