It could be done but be prepared to bottom out occasionally. Hybrid is better in this regard as the exhaust pipe is not hanging that low. Here is my Rav4h on Sandy Neck beach in Barnstable.

That’s actually the beach I’m was thinking of driving on. I live in Sandwich and since getting my RAV4; been thinking of heading out to Sandy Neck.

Got the tire pressures lowered to ~15psi. Traction was not an issue - was not even close to getting stuck.

Almost all vehicles there are proper body-on-frame SUV and their wheels leave fairly deep trenches. You have to drive outside of those trenches but even then the subframe wound occasionally scrape some sand and gravel - not a big deal actually.

You do know that you need a permit for that beach, right?
Yes I’m aware. Not exactly cheap but being a life long native Cape Codder; I’ve dying to mark off my bucket list taking my car out in Sandy Neck with the family. Might seem silly lol. I appreciate your response!
