What's the best way to fix a paint chip? Recently came back from my new RAV's first road trip (about 700 km) and gave it a good wash upon return as I just couldn't let it sit there for even a minute with the front all splattered in bugs. Noticed that I have received my first chip to the paint on the leading edge of the front hood. My RAV is Everglade metallic and I've got touch-up paint but I'm curious if anyone knows the best way to do this kind of touch-up with the best results. The chip is about the size of a big grain of rice. I know that sounds small, but it's noticeable when my RAV is clean (and I like to keep it spotless) as it's deep enough to form a tiny shadow. Any hints on doing a good job would be greatly appeciated.

I've never had much luck of repairing my paint chips. I'm normally in too big of a hurry or like last time... I did it on a HOT day and the paint actually BOILED on the hood :? Live and learn

Here are some helpful tips from paintscratch.com ---> http://www.paintscratch.com/brush.htm
