Ive been looking to change my brake drums for a while but im hesitant on which to buy. I like reading reviews before every purchase but there doesnt seem to be any for brake drums. Which brands do you recommend or should i just go to autozone and buy duralast? I want to change drums and shoes while im at it i might also change the pins and what not.

I replaced mine last November with the following:

Beck Arnley 083-2686 Brake Drum - Amazon.com
Beck Arnley 084-1144 Drum Brake Hardware Kit - Amazon.com
Dorman H380516 Hydraulic Brake Hose - Amazon.com
Wagner ThermoQuiet Organic Brake Shoes Rear - Advanced Auto

So far no rust at all on the Brake drums, everything worked great, no noise, but I had to replace the rear brake lines because of corrosion.

I guess if you want to upgrade your brakes or at least have a very efficient brake system. you should install Stainless Steel Brake lines from PowerStop.com. No spongy brake felling, just a hard solid brake pedal. I've had them on for years and they work great. Don't go to EBay and by old cheapo. I first did that I installed once that were just too long. Powerstop will send you the right once and with instructions. Hope it helps.

The following link shows my brake corrosion problems and solution, but no it wasn't difficult.

T5 I would suggest white. Remember polarity has to be right on LEDs, below is a link where I converted my interior to LEDs.

Great info. I now know where to start and what to expect from checking the lines.

I know. Living on a island in terms of fees for shipping sucks.. but i rather pay the tax elsewhere and not pay the tax here.

Check out RockAuto.com for price, parts, ... comparisons. Be sure to include shipping and taxes (or not ...) in your comparisons; brake drums and discs are heavy.
