Hi.
I'm a Canadian who owns a 2017 Rav4 SE with 22,000 miles. I am on vacation in Florida for the winter, and I needed an oil change. I went to a recommended reputable Pep-Boys garage here in Florida who performed the oil change. After the oil change, they told me they usually don't have any issues resetting the computer on Rav's, but they just couldn't reset it on mine for some reason. This means my Rav will not advise me when my next oil change will be due. They wondered if it was a Canadian thing, or if it was a fault of my Rav. The car did advise me on the infotainment system that my Rav needed to be serviced just prior to the oil change, so it did work. Once I got to my home where I am staying in Florida, I went on Youtube and started searching on how to reset the computer after an oil change on my 2017 Rav. They all showed going to the infotainment between the RPM and SPEEDOMETER, that shows the little gear or wheel icon. Then they suggested I click down to the "vehicle settings". However, for the life of me, I can not find the "vehicle setting"....all I find is "Meter Settings" It's no big deal, I'll just do like I've always done between oil changes, and check mile mileage. However, I would like to know (for peace of mind) as to WHY I can not find that VEHICLE SETTINGS tab, do that I can reset my cars computer. Are the 2017 Canadian Rav4's different than the American Rav's of same year ? Any advice would be appreciated....I need to be able to sleep at night LOL.
Take care.
Ray

Nothing about it in the manual?

The owners manual is back home in Canada at my house unfortunately.
When I drove my 2008 RAV4 to Canada, I kept my owners manual in the glove box of all places!

You're obviously smarter than I am. I simply forgot mine at home, because I was reading it before my trip to Florida, and then with the hundreds of things I had to think of bringing with me on my trip, the owners manual slipped my mind. HOWEVER, I was able to download the pdf owners manual on line, and looked through all 700+ pages, and nothing shows on how to reset the computer after an oil change. Jeeesh, not a friendly bunch in here. I will definitely inquire elsewhere, and you can shove your sarcasm where the sun don't shine. Have a great 👍
