Hmm!! Figured the RAV4 was still based on the Corolla, Celica or Camry this time around.

*REALLY* don't like the statement about not being designed with hybrid in mind -- just doesn't make sense, especially since Toyota has previously said that they will be taking their entire product line hybrid in the near future.

That parcel tray below the cargo floor is perfect for a battery pack and they're already using the CVT in the RAV4 in Japan. As far as I'm concerned, the stars are perfectly aligned to make a hybrid RAV4.
