Does the oil in the Centre transfer box on an auto have to be the LS type

I suppose what I'm asking is - is the lockup thats done by the ECU on the box done to Limited Slip plates?

My Mitchell repair manual calls for 0.7 quarts (0.7 Liters) multipurpose gear oil (API-GL -5, SAE 75W-90) as the 4wd transfer case lubricant.

Nothing special needed there.

The automatic transmission itself calls for 7.4 quart or 7.0 liters of ATF type T or equivalent in the 4wd models.

The rear axle needs 1.0 quart or 0.9 liter HYPOID gear oil (API-GL -5, SAE 90) in the rear differential.
