I don't have enough information to make that assessment since a visual inspection is generally invalid for determining the performance of a modern lubricant.
But would you've done lifetime interval with all that metal shavings? Another interesting point is what's causing the oil to turn black. There's isn't combustion contamination there.

There will always be "metal shavings" in differentials. (It's really just ferrous sludge at this point). It would be faulty logic for me to assume that the magnet is unable to properly capture all of the "metal shavings" associated with a lifetime oil.

Differential oils do get hot. Oxidation products due to heat are usually what cause oils to turn dark. Color, as we know, is an invalid indicator of oil performance.
