Bookmarked that thread and am going to try that stuff this weekend unless it's raining then next weekend. Funny thing about the code readers. I live in a miserable place that makes our life harder than it has to be (California). You wont believe that there is a law here that prohibits auto parts from reading codes for you. Only a shop will do it and for a fee of coarse. I'm gonna try that jumper trick and see what it turns up.

Funny, I also live in CA and PepBoys will do it for you for free. I recently had them pull the code on our Camry which needed a new EGR valve. Not sure where you are in CA but I am in northern CA in the Sacramento area.
