I am looking at ditching the huge ugly muffler on my 2001 awd rav4. I am interested in mounting a cherry bomb glass pack preferbly inline vertically in front of the resonator up a few feet of course. Or if need be in the stock location. I did a search but do not see a lot of of info on glass packs.
...How loud will this set up be? will it free up a few hp? what size inlet/outlet do i get 2.0 or 2.25? would i be better off just mounting a "turbo" muffler in the stock location?
...As mentioned in my first post i bought this rav4 for winter driving. I had no idea how potent these things work off road in rough terrain. I think the stock muffler could be problematic in rocky terrain.
...Thanks

I would think - modern engines work best (computer controlled), with an specific Engineered back pressure, per Toyota factory setting.

You may not be getting any "Cherry Bomb Glass Pack" feedback here, because it may be a rare modification, in today automotive tuning world / more common in the muscle car era, decades ago.

Me - I would be sourcing a direct replacement muffler, in 304 stainless steel (for rust free longevity) and be done with it.

Let us all know, how it turns out.

...I think i will just throw on a good flowing low profile turbo muffler instead.
