Does make sense to install CAI on 2005 RAV4 ?
I have heard different stories about it benefits and related problems.
Any ideas ? any photos ?

Installed CAI today !

I have just installed CAI from Cosmo Racing replacing original air intake with filter box. Engine works fine - no problems and sounds great.
Test driving will be done tomorrow.

Looks nice. But to make that into a cold air intake you need to have a shielded filter with an air pipe running up to it from down low.

Yes, I am planning on making custom shield for the filter and moving it closer and lower to the front.

The system is more like Short Ram System.

So far the sound is great

I could also use Scion Tc engine valve cover - any ideas where to get the OEM one ?

Test Drive

Today, I drove my car entire day (my job) and did around 150km. Around 50km was in the city and the rest on the highway. Acceleration at low speeds improved slightly, but once over 80km/h then the difference can be felt pretty well. The acceleration above 110-120km/h is improved significantly.
