I've poured through the service records on the owners site and it seems to have had the all the milestone services. My questions are what else should I look for and what's a fair price? Thanks.

This is the big one to look for in the service records to address the transmission whine.

Also there has been an unusual number of coolant pump failures on the 2006-'08 V6s.

Toyota.com/owners. Type in vin and any work performed at a Toyota dealer service department should show up.
Thanks for the quick reply. However, it looks like records are only available for US vehicles. Doesn't seem like an equivalant database search is available on toyota.ca

What about this site:

https://clubtoyota.toyota.ca/ClubToyotaWeb/login

Track Your Service History

No more need to search for service records. This simple feature displays the history of all services performed on your vehicle for as long as you own it, regardless of where the services are performed within the Toyota dealer network.

Thanks. Just registered but it only shows records for when I own the vehicle... not previous records from previous owner.

You can get the history of the repairs from the Toyota dealer service department. I got mine when I got my car serviced. The service advisor was reluctant to give it to me but later changed his mind. The funny thing is the service record is coded but you can still make out what was done. It is a very valuable piece of information. Depending on the dealership some may be more helpful or stubborn.

MANY recalls for that year, we own two of them. Make sure they were done.

try this site, I have used it with my current Corolla XRS and just did with the 2008 RAV4 we just purchased...

https://www.toyota.ca/toyota/en/secure/recalls

with my 05 XRS it showed me the airbag recall is still pending (no parts yet), with the RAV4 it says "no recalls or campaigns outstanding" so it's assumable they have been performed.
