Hello,

I have a simple question: does an european rav4 I from 1996 have a crank position sensor?
Someone told me it's somewhere under the alternator, but I can't find any sensor or cables there.
I have black ignition distributor cover.

I need to connect to it, for ignition advance ecu.

Here is a diagram that might help. This is assuming you have a left hand drive RAV4. As you can see the crankshaft position sensor is located at C4:

Thanks!

I saw similar diagram, and tried to locate that sensor, but somhow can't find it.
I'm going to do timing belt soon, so maybe I'll find it.

[edit]
I've noticed this is for 1AZ-FE engine and I have 3s-fe engine, maybe this is the problem?
