So I’m trying to replace the cv boots on my 97’ rav4 AWD automatic. Problem is I’m getting conflicting information on what is compatible.
can I get a confirm parts number for the boots on both the front and rear cv axles?

I try not to trust Amazon's algorithm for parts compatibility too much. Anyway, are you taking out the CV axle to replace the boot? Or are you going to try to put it on while the axle is still on the car? I tried with a boot kit that is in halves and gets glued together. Problem became the grease gets everywhere and then it becomes impossible to glue the two halves together. If you are taking the axle out then you have a better chance to get the job done. A vice, clamps or another person helps to get this done. Good luck.

so how many miles on the rav?

the split boots are iffy at best.

there are specialty boot expander tools that work well for dealing with the boots.
i always check the part numbers when doing time sensitive projects.
unless you are not in a hurry.

if the cv boots are split they may already be trash.
a care full inspection is needed

new cv shafts are a good idea..

ya I bought this and was planning to change out struts on the front and the shocks on the rear so I was going to replaced the torn cv boots at the same time. I’ve seen videos and how to pull them and such and I’m confident and good at that but it’s the part numbers that I get lost trying to determine. I just need part numbers for the inner and outer cv boots for both front and rear and I keep getting conflicting info. Makes it hard to figure out
