Cylinder Misfire

There was a Corolla owner who after much effort and useless dealer gouging discovered that his intake manifold was cracked.
It wasn’t exactly easy to see either. It sounds like it might be worth removing it and inspecting it very closely.
 
Wow, yeah that TSB would probably be worth looking at, and the carbon in the intake manifold would support something like a collapsed lifter or whatever it may be. After all that time driving it like that there might be more of a mess with carbon deposits around the piston rings however.

Sorry I didn’t see that the intake manifold had been replaced, isn’t usually something that goes bad, so most pass over it.
 
I think it’s more prone to missing when there’s extra fuel or some other parameter with the engine controls while it’s cold. At least that’s my take. Maybe the exhaust cam timing goes into an area that doesn’t occur when warmed up(?)
