I have a 2017 Rav4 LE I4 with 30k miles. On my oil change, the dealer recommended a new water pump because a leak was detected. They quoted $950 for replacement. The funny thing is that I've never noticed water under the vehicle nor hot operatingtemperatures. I looked under the vehicle and the only thing I could see
is dried pink fluid. View attachment 177849

I've had a 1989 corrolla that leaked but the mechanic at that time said it must have sealed itself because only residue was remaining. This old mechanic said I should just keep an eye out on temp but not to worry about it.

Is this something that I should have replaced asap? Thanks
Mine has only 42,000 miles and is leaking now! I have a 2018 rav4, those things suppose to last 100,000 miles!
I am so upset!
