After purchasing our Barcelona Red 2013 RAV4 yesterday, I parked it in the drive way behind my Corolla which is gray. This morning I went out and found the RAV4 covered in bird droppings from the hood, across the windshield, roof and back onto the pavement. And I mean it was covered. My Corolla parked in front of it had no droppings. I wish I had taken a picture but it looked like the birds had a party on it.

Had to go back to the dealer to get our second key, they lost it so they had another made free of charge, and when I told the salesman about the birds he thought that it sounded like someone was very jealous and probably put birdseed, couldn't find any trace, or breadcrumbs on the vehicle.

Now because of the hawks that frequent our area, I normally only see song birds and not many at that. So I have no idea what to make of it. Needless to say, it will be garaged from here on out.

The seagulls here are indiscriminate poopers regarding car colors, but they do seem to discriminate in favor of cars as apposed to land areas without cars . . . :frown

What you need to do is reverse the parking order and see if they still hit the big red target or it's merely the location. Nobody notices when the poop hits the ground instead of the car.

Color Doesn't make a difference. One day when I went into my dentist for about a hour I returned to my 1996 black escort wagon and it was covered front to back with bird poop!
