When it rains hard my wife's 2010 RAV4 gets some dash lights on. I suspect the water is not draining correctly on the passenger side and hoping someone has a fix.

Does it have the sunroof? There are drain tubes at all 4 corners that may need to be cleaned out.

My wife’s car would collect water when it rained and with the AC on. I found that the drain tubes were clogged with stuff. I threaded some weed wacker line through the tubes to clear them. It worked and didn’t damage anything. 2 years puddle free.

That hose goes outside on the passenger side. Better to get under the car to poke through the hose because all the water can drain outside than inside the car.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way!!

I had a pool water of on the passenger side footwell. After a lot of research and testing I found there was a tiny gap in the windshield sealant just under the A pillar trim (ran a hose up along the outside and let it run for a while). The windshield had the OG window codes so I'm pretty sure it was stock. But I had to yank all the carpet up on the left side, pull the bungholes open and clean the mold and treat under the seats for surface rust with rust convert and a wire brush.

What a mission that was.
