Does lifting 2020 Rav4 affect Safety Sense?

Hi guys! I just got the 2020 Rav4 XLE Hybrid and was looking to get it lifted. One friend suggested getting coilovers instead of a lift kit. I talked to a dude at the dealership and he said not to lift at all. Or if I did, to not go higher than 1-1.5” because it would affect the Safety Sense. Has anyone else heard of this? I mean, the Safety Sense is cool so far and safety should be the #1 priority, especially when my family is in the car. But I also want to upgrade the aesthetics of it too.

It shouldn't. Mine is lifted 2" front and several inches in the rear and all of my features still function as they did off the lot.

Cool! I mean, I understand what the guy was saying, but I’m not sure if that was just talk or legit. Do you know if the warranty is affected by lifting?
The only warranty issues you could have are things Toyota could prove is directly associated with the lift. If you have a CV axle failure, they would likely point to the lift. If your fuel pump goes out, there is obviously no connection.

Makes sense. Thank you!
I have the 2.5” Rough Country Lift and have had no issues with the safety features at all. I have, however, had dealers avoid speculation of issues or coverage because of the “aftermarket work” of the lift.

Yeah I’ve been told that can happen. If they say that whatever modifications you made resulted in whatever happened to the car.
