I've made a couple easy mods to my 2014 XLE, but I'm interested in what others have done for simple / cheap.

My simple list so far:

Hitch ($300)
All weather OEM mats and cargo mat ($140)
Cargo net
Auto-dim/compass/Homelink rear view mirror ($70)
Hard-wire radar detector

I'm looking at improving audio system for about $500.

What other options have people found?

Camry/loud horns - a must do upgrade!

Hood and moon-roof deflectors and window vent shades.

Fog light mod.

Get the best tint you can afford. My dealer put some low quality tint and the heat from drivers side window was frustrating. I also put some clear tint on the windshield to reduce glare and heat. Much happier now.

Amazon has magnetic phone mount two pack for 11.99. It's excellent. I use Waze now exclusively. I have GPS but don't use it because the WAZE is better, easier.

Would love to know more about how you got homelink for $70.

Just added some splash guards that I bought off Ebay for about $25. Easy on and they look like the more expensive stock ones.

Body Side Mouldings = Under $150
Canadian VIN only - TVIP security system with glass breakage = $250

These are both Toyota OEM parts, installation of both took 30 minutes.
The BSM are harder to install than the TVIP/GBS.

Also:
Beat-Sonic FDA9T Functional Shark Fin Antenna
$125 for a functional sharkfin antenna

was it hard to install that shark fin? im interested on doing that to mine also

No!!! However, you do have to disassemble the front grille a bit. You'll also need some short pieces of wood to act as wedges so you can get your hands inside the grille area to work.

Deft hands help too!

10 minutes including cleaning off the wax and measuring/mounting the template.

The factory base is retained, so you aren't penetrating the roof.
Remove the whip from the factory base.
Clean the wax.
Align the template
Screw the wire inside the fin to the base.
Remove the 3m backing and stick it down.
