I have a 2003 Rav4 2WD.
I need to replace my ECU which has a part number: 89661-42880
I have been given an ECU for a Toyota Tacoma 2004 as a replacement. Part number: 89666-040050
The harnesses will all fit the replacement but is this computer compatible with my vehicle?
Will I harm my vehicle if I connect the replacement ECU to see if it will work?

The RAV4 is a front-wheel drive vehicle with transverse engine and transmission. The Tacoma is a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a longitudinal engine and transmission. They are totally different transmissions and I don't see how they could possibly share the same ECU.
