Hi,
I have 2014 RAV4 2WD Diesel 2 Litre. Today a problem appeared where there is a little vibration at idle and when I go into gear and apply gas the car shudders like a mis-time. If I ease off the gas the shudder mostly goes away. The shudder happens in all gears and much worse when going up an incline. The weird thing is later I turned the car off and after 30 minutes of researching the issue here took it out for another drive and it was running perfect in all gears for 10 minutes then the problem re-appeared. The fact that it was fine for 10 minutes has me scratching my head. Going to take it to the garage tomorrow but has anyone experienced anything like this before? Thanks!

Not sure about your country or diesel engine but in the US/Canada, there was a torque converter shudder problem with the early 4th generation RAV4. There is a TSB on it, so look that up.

engine mount, possibly top right.
Open the hood, ask your assistant to rev the engine with the transmission in nuetral.
Do you see the engine move forwards / backwards?

Turns out the issue is caused by a faulty injector. It's still with the garage who are doing a full check tomorrow. The problem only happens when it reaches running temperature so it was difficult for them to find. Nothing showed up on the initial diagnostics they ran.
