I really want to avoid routing through the fuse box lid. Not because I don’t want to damage the part, but because I don’t want the lid tethered to the vehicle (sounds like it’ll be a pain in the future). I see a place where I might be able to drill through the box itself, which might provide more convenient access to fuses in the future.
But what I really want to do is tap into the side marker lights, so they go on and off with the DRLs (which would mean I wasted $60 springing for the deluxe package with remote, etc., but whatever). It was mentioned earlier in the thread; did anyone go that route?
I decided to forget the grommet and just notch the fuse cover.
I use split plastic hosing and routed the wire under the plastic cover.
You only see the black/red wire at the fuse box.
The rest of it looks the OEM, they use the split plastic everywhere.
i ordered the Factor4 lights with Wiring harness ( NO REMOTE)
I "assumed" the controller was pre-wired in the shrink wrapping of the harness... It's not.
He adds the controller and give you the remote for $30.
If you add your own controller, the remote will then operate the lights....

My Plan is to drill a hole in the fuse box top cover, cut a slit in in and use a rubber grommet. ( If I want to revert back to stock, I'm sure the fuse box top cover is cheap to replace )
