First Gen Rav4

Hey everyone, new here, looking at this first generation 1996 rav4, got 76k miles and in pretty mint condition. It’s priced at $15000 and wondering if that’s steep for these kinds of cars. I know the 2/3 doors are hard to come by and this one is supposedly limited edition. Thanks!

I've seen this listing, the guy is a flipper. These are rare cars that deserve some special value, but he bought that car for almost 1/3rd of what he's selling it for 4 months later.

WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! $15 000...

As much as I LOVE my 2 doors, I do not think it is worth nearly as much as that. For that price you can get a decent one and swap a 3STGE in or have the 3SFE rebuilt and then have some spare money to go on a 3 months road trip.

Also, 76k miles doesn't mean much if it hasn't been maintained properly during those 76k miles. Mine is nearing 270k miles and it purrs like an old cat. The owner before me was loving it and it shows! I've had to do some maintenance, but it's a 24 years old car!

I paid $3000 CAD for mine and it has no rust. It is a (Canadian) desert car

All that to say that $15k is nuts.

It's a bit hard to tell from the low res photo, but I think it's an aftermarket cage (Rhino maybe) on original Toyota racks?
I like that the Toyota racks tie into the roof through the little sliding doors the way they do. It seems more secure.
I purchased my '96 JDM 3 door with only 145k Kilometers on it for $3,500 Canadian just 2 years ago in B.C.
Cars here usually are not cheap. This one is rust free, just had a timing belt/ water pump service and a new battery.
It also came with the OEM Bull bar and Bosch fog lights as well as the OEM roof rack. (shown in your picture).
$15K U.S. is a huge amount of money for that car.
My advice is to look elsewhere,.....or I will deliver mine to your door for the $15 U.S.
