Its 2020 Rav4, has a front windscreen defogger, in front windshield.
The issue is, its wire mesh grid is kind of visible to me, when I drive.
Has anyone has this? How is the long-terme usage experience?

I have a 19 and the lines are down below line of sight where the wipers rest. Do you have polarized glasses you use maybe?

I just realized that this car has the worst defogging function. In winter here, with a few passengers inside, all the windows would fog up instantly. And with the front defog on with max air, it still won't clear up the fog fast enough.

This is the biggest issue I am having with this car at this moment.

Thank you. I do wear glasses. No, its not just below where wipers rest heaters, that I have too.
But the issue is, there is another one, it is a kind of a grid visible from front windshield, it covers almost all the windshield, except one or two inches to the either side of whole windshield!

Does it look like any of the pictures on this website? Kinda like what is under "Patterns" Maybe?

Crack the sunroof open (not retract it back, but lift it up). That will help...

Have you tried switching on dual AC? Also switching air circulation to outside mode?
This issue came up in my Prius, the A/C had broken! Since it was winter I didn't realise the A/C was broken.
I thought the front defogger would automatically turn on the AC, so i never checked. Maybe i will double check next time, thx for the tips

One of the quickest ways to completely fog up all windows in damp weather is to turn Recirc on.

Moving this thread to 4.5 Interior

I have similar issue. Tried all the settings. A/C on cold, hot, recirc, recirc off, etc. The fog also sometimes appears on outside of windshield and requires constant wiper action-regardless of weather.
