Not sure whether to make this tread in exterior or interior
About 2 weeks ago, i noticed my fuel gauge stopped reading below 1/4 of a tank.
when my car is off it reads all the way empty as it should
it works fine between full and 1/4 left but won't go any lower than that
I haven't tried to see if the fuel light comes on yet
has anyone else had this problem and how can i get it fixed, is it something i can do myself or is it dealer mandatory?
Thank you for any suggestions, help, or advice
P.S. 2011 Rav4 Sport AWD 97000 miles in case that helps

Admin: I moved it to mechanical.

That happened to me, but that's because I crushed the tank while off roading. Take a look under and see if your tank is dented up.

I have a dented gas tank and my gauge stops at half a tank and will run empty (as I learned) without notification. I didn't know my tank was dented until a saftey inspection. I'm guessing the dented gas tank is causing the gauge to stop at half filled.
